Preschool Visual Montessori Printables
I have a passion for education and when I had two small children under age two, I realized I wanted to find ways to engage with them, inspire them, and teach them to love learning. After many trips to the public library I discovered the teachings of Maria Montessori.
Montessori advocated engaging with young children during their youngest years to encourage brain development in 12 key areas, or centers for learning inside the human brain. I was so inspired by her research, I got certifed in Early Childhood Education and Montessori Education and am now certified to teach children from birth through age 8. This was perfect timing because I was able to use what I learned to develop a preschool curriculum to teach my two boys and preschool at home. On this site I share sample packs of our activities for free. But if you'd like a complete, comprehensive curriculum, I recommend reviewing the course pupose and scope at VisualMontessori.com. It's perfect for children ages 2 1/2 up to age six and offers excellent preparation for kidergarten.
In fact, my eldest, was reading at double the speed of his peers by the end of 1st grade [which is when they start testing]. The requirement was 52 words per minute and his average reading rate was 91 words per minute. Early engagement does make a difference.
