How do you know where to start when you decide you want to offer early lerning and enrichment activites to your 2-1/2 to 5 year-old at home?Well, one way to start is by assessment. By checking a child’s ability to recognize letters, hold a writing utensil, make sounds, and use their finger muscles you can determine what they are ready for next. Use these charts to help you figure out what types of activies to embark upon when teaching a young child. I’ve also included a small excerpt from “Positive Discipline” in case you’re interested.
