With two young boys in our home, we love to create with glue, scissors, and craft supplies. I wanted to turn our craft activities  into a learning experience for our boys so I created a 20 Page Fun Bee Activity Pack for Kids to enhance our craft time. Cutting with scissors is great for improving find motor skills and it helps the pincher muscles of the hand so children have an easier time with their pencil grip for writing.

My boys love puzzles and pretending to have bees in the hive so this activity pack is great for sparking imaginary play! 20 Page Fun Bee Activity Pack for Kids

My eldest is almost six years old and one of his favorite activities is craft time. I wanted to make a simple craft that incorporated some of his favorite things, so I created a bee printable that he could decorate with textures and colors.

This craft is more than meets the eye. Bending the pipe cleaner, fixing it to the construction paper, and adding pom-poms – all increase fine motor skill and hand-eye coordination for children. Plus, completing the project gives them a sense of accomplishment – great for early learning!

Materials needed to create DIY Bee Craft

• Yellow Construction Paper
• White Card Stock
• Home Printer with black ink
• White school glue
• Black furry pom -oms
• Gold or yellow pipe cleaners
• Child-safe scissors
• Colorful markers or glitter glue
• Honey Bunches of Oats Gluten Free Chocolate cereal

Craft Time Snacks

Snacks are great for extending craft time, and our family enjoys the crunchy flavors of: Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds, Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted, and Honey Bunches of Oats Gluten Free Chocolate (a yummy new flavor!). I served some cereal up for all of us, so we could enjoy whole grains, 9 essential vitamins and minerals, NO high fructose corn syrup, and the classic crunch of Honey Bunches of Oats cereals. Directions to create DIY Bee Craft

Step 1: Print the bee onto yellow construction paper and have your child cut the craft free from the paper. It’s ok to not cut “on the line” – just encourage them to trim along the outside of the bee.

Step 2: Glue the bee cutout onto the white card stock with white school glue.

Step 3: Embellish the bee with gold or yellow-colored pipe cleaners, Honey Bunches of Oats Gluten Free Chocolate cereal, and/or black pompoms.

Step 4: Feel free to encourage your child to add colors with markers, paint or other craft supplies like glitter glue.
