I'm reading this great book titled "God Wild Marriage" by our Sr. Pastor, Steve Holt. He signed my copy and wrote, "Ephesians 5:18". Pastor Steve officiated our wedding and so anything he has to say about marriage is a blessing of wisdom to me. I had to look up the verse and I'd love to share what I found here. The NIV has a straightforward approach to the scripture, but I love how the AMP ... View Post
1 Peter 2
This is the second installment on my study of 1 Peter. Here I will review 1 Peter 2:1-3. I always learn something from the comparison of different translations of the same scripture. At the same time we look forward to the time when they can go on trips with us, or backpacking or hiking. ... View Post
Beginnings and Endings
My husband's father had a stroke over six years ago. Right before Christmas of 2011 he fell and suffered a brain injury that nearly killed him. They used to talk daily and now he has spoken to him maybe once in over a month. I look at my new baby ... View Post
Happy and Blessed

I think the name also applies because it's how our family feels about all that the Lord has done in our lives. We truly are happy and blessed. Psalm 16:11, New International Version (NIV) 11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal ... View Post
