Preschool Alphabet – I is for Iguana

November 14, 2012

We are on the letter "I" and my little man loves to play with letters. For this letter I did not have much in the way of sensory items so I used the flashcards and printables from 1plus1plus1equals1.com for our lesson on the letter "I".  Peanut knew "ice cream" since Blue Bell Ice Cream is a family favorite, but the other words were new to him.  I have a special craft project for the word ... Preschool Alphabet – H is for Horse

November 8, 2012

We are still studying the preschool alphabet and we are on "H is for Horse." Our littlest cowboy really enjoyed our study on the letter "H".  We have a small stuffed rocking horse and Nugget tried his best to climb a pillow to get onto the horse. Mommy thinks he is absolutely adorable.  He can ride the horse with a little help. It's amazing how fast these babies ... View Post

Preschool Alphabet G is for Giggle

November 5, 2012

We are on our study of a Preschool Alphabet and G is for Giggle. We are on the letter "G" and just thought I'd share a fun video from a birthday party we went to this weekend.  We had the two boys on the couch and they were having fun giggling.  The woman in pink is their grandmother.  We call her "Nana." For the letter "G" the magnet board contained flashcards of a goose, grapes, ... View Post

Preschool Alphabet Games – Go Fish Game

October 31, 2012

This post includes a tutorial on our  preschool alphabet games - "Go Fish" game. We tell the boys all the time "That's your little brother (or big brother) and he is going to be your best friend."  And since we are on the Letter "F" in our alphabet series, I thought I'd share with you one way that we try to incorporate biblical concepts that coordinate with our letter theme. One of our favorite ... View Post

Preschool Alphabet – E is for Elbow

October 27, 2012

We are our preschool alphabet and E is for elbow and excellent fun! This time I didn't have enough for a sensory bin, so I collected some plastic eggs, a stuffed elephant, a video of Elmo and at the last moment I threw in some pasta elbows. You know what became the biggest hit?  The elbows! Peanut was drawn to the elbows right away.  He loved shaking the box and enjoyed the sounds it ... View Post

Preschool Alphabet – C is for Cheerful

October 22, 2012

We are on the letter "C" in our preschool alphabet which is for cheerful. I couldn't resist adding a video of our nearly nine-month-old because he is just so cute!  He laughs easily and has a wonderful disposition.  I enjoy watching his personality bloom as he becomes more alert and aware of his surroundings every day.  Just one look at that grin and I know you'll smile.  Here is a video of our ...
