A new Avengers movie – MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron launches May 1, 2015. As a mother of boys and the wife of a mountain man, we have our share of a love of superheroes in our home.

Even though my two little guys are too young to see the movie, there’s a fun new app they can enjoy with mom that’s free. I’m saving the Avengers Super Hero toys (in these pics) I bought at Walmart for Christmas presents, so for fun I created some colorful Avengers Play Doh Mats for kids so my boys can enjoy some superhero fun with play doh now. You can find MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron APP by downloading the app in the Google Play store or on iTunes: Super Heroes Assemble. I’ll walk you through how to find and use the app, plus I’ll share my fun Avengers Play Doh activity mats for kids that the whole family will enjoy.

In this movie the Avengers unite. Iron Man, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, and Black Widow combine forces to fight their arch enemy, Ultron, a robot with a sophisticated level of artificial intelligence bent on exterminating the human race. The movie is rated PG-13, a fun superhero movie for teens and adults.

How to use the FREE Avengers Super Heroes Assemble App

Step 1: Download the app onto your iPhone, iPad, or other smart phone device. You can find the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron APP by downloading the app in the Google Play store or on iTunes: Super Heroes Assemble.

Step 2: Install the app and navigate to your menu screen to select the app once installed.

Step 3: Once selected, the home screen for the app looks like this:

From left to right, the menu for the app includes: 1) Discover, 2) Suit Up, 3) Movie, 4) Characters, 5) 360, 6) Photo Opp, and 7) Wishlist.

1) Discover – This fun part of the app allows you to scan various displays at Walmart to unlock characters and features of MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron Super Heroes Assemble App. By scanning various displays you can download additional features in the Super Heroes Assemble App. Here you can see where I’ve scanned Captain America to unlock special character features on the app.

Be on the lookout throughout the store to find additional displays to scan. Some products are also a part of the scanning adventure – it’s a virtual scavenger hunt throughout the store. The boys had a blast pointing out Avengers displays to mommy for me to scan as a part of our shopping trip to Walmart.

2) Suit Up – Once you’ve unlocked some characters in the store you can “suit up” with attributes from the Avengers superheroes. This is great fun for kids – my boys loved seeing mommy dressed up as Iron Man in a fun family photo I captured from my laptop!

3) Movie – By selecting “Movie” you get the option to keep up-to-date on the latest teasers and content from the movie, MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

If you scroll down on the “Movie” screen you’ll see the options to select movie trailers, view a photo gallery of movie production and see exclusive features and footage.

4) Characters – Learn all about the characters and download some fun iPhone, iPad, tablet and Smart Phone screen savers and backgrounds.

5) 360 – Use this feature to unlock additional games and character features of the app, such as the “Hulkbuster Testing Facility”.

6) Photo Opp – For a photo opp with the Avengers characters, make sure to find this display at Walmart and scan it to activate the Photo Opp feature of the Super Heroes Assemble App.

7) Wishlist – If you are looking for Avengers toys or super hero inspired snacks and drinks, click on the “Wish List” to find all the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron products in your local Walmart store.

FREE Avengers Play Doh Mats

These FREE Avengers Play Doh mats can also be used for Avengers Birthday Party Decorations or as Avengers placemats.

You can laminate these FREE Avengers Play Doh Mats for tracing or coloring fun using write-on, wipe-off markers. Play doh is great for developing fine motor skills and using play doh mats like these can kelp kids with color and shape recognition. Just print these FREE Avengers Play Doh Mats out, laminate them and you’ve got the beginnings of some superhero play doh fun!

Who is your favorite Superhero?

I like all of the superheroes from the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. If I had to pick one, I’d pick Captain America because I’m a red, white and blue kinda girl. How about you?
