Can’t Sit Still

June 8, 2012

What does a two year-old like to do?  “Play!”  As you can see from my attempts at getting a cute pic of my two boys together, I had a really tough time getting our two year-old to sit still.  He’s a bundle full of energy.  Our mornings used to start quietly with him sitting in my lap drinking milk.  Occasionally they still start that way, but lately it’s a request to “Go Play!”  He can climb up into his booster chair at the breakfast table and the dining room chairs and couch. We surround the loveseat in our living room with pillows so he can climb all over the place without having to worry about him bonking his head on the hardwood floors.
After all that effort to get a cute shot of the two together, last night, totally out of the blue, our two year-old climbed up on the dining room chair to give his little brother a kiss – and check out these pics – I’m smitten!
A kiss for his baby brother.

A big smile for mommy!

This blog will be a photo collage of our boys because its fun to watch them growing up!  Our “baby” is four months old now and is weighing almost 13 lbs and is 23 inches long.  He makes all kinds of silly noises and will talk back to you if you talk to him.  He can arch his back and lift his head really high when he is on his tummy and has almost perfected rolling from his tummy to his back.  He eats five to six times a day and occasionally sleeps through the night.  He is a joyful, content baby and is so fun to cuddle with.  He adores his older brother and can’t take his eyes off of him whenever the two are in a room together – it’s entertaining just to watch them.

Our big boy loves the water and loves to play outside.  Here he is at Aunt Vada’s house enjoying the “swimming pool” and her beautiful garden.  Our baby boy got in on the fun with mommy by watching his big brother.

Playtime is always more fun with friends so this summer we’re sure to have fun play dates.  Here are a few pics of our friends that we met up with at a park close by.  Our big boy kept asking for “more” on the swing and climbed the stairs and slid down the slide all by himself.  They grow up so fast!

We’re loving the summertime and fun with family and friends.  If you’d like to leave a comment, I’d love to hear from you.  I pray you’re having a wonderful summer.

In His Grip,
Monica
