Why I Write

My love for books and writing started when I was a little girl.  My grandfather owned a bookstore and he would bring me books or I could get books when we went to visit him in Miami.  I read almost all the Nancy Drew mysteries by the time I was ten, and I didn't stop there.  I loved the library and still do.  In fact I have about a dozen children's books checked out now to fuel the passion for ... Flyover and Family Update

Jimmy, our two-year old, myself and our baby at the flyover Today we were able to see Daddy at lunch time for an Air Force flyover complete with Thunderbird Jets, a helicopter, a snake, and Chick-fil-A.  Our eldest had a great time, and even though the jets were exciting, he couldn't stop talking about the snake that some kids found in the grass nearby.  We love catching up with friends from ... Happy Mother’s Day

I awoke to the smell of maple-cured bacon, my wonderful husband made me breakfast on Mother's Day.  It included bacon, eggs with ham and spinach, and pancakes, two bouquets of flowers and a lovely kiss.  We woke the boys and ate breakfast in our beautiful sun-filled breakfast area amidst the pine trees.
